The unique culinary traditions of Europe have given rise to an incredible diversity of food and beverages, reflecting the richness of the continent. The European Union Pavilion at ANUGA Select Brazil 2025, will offer an immersive experience showcasing this diversity, as well as the quality, safety, authenticity and sustainability of European food and drinks.
Over the course of three days, the EU Pavilion will host a series of culinary demonstrations, informational sessions, and tastings.
The European Union Pavilion will offer visitors the opportunity to taste a selection of products from 27 EU member states, highlighting the richness and diversity of European culinary heritage.

Together with the European Union Delegation to Brazil, we will kick off the event in style, featuring a special culinary showcase by our star Chef Gustavo Rodrigues. Watch as he skilfully prepares a creative and unexpected recipe, offering you a unique taste of European excellence.

European Union Pavilion activities
The agenda of events for the three days of the EU Pavilion at ANUGA Select Brazil 2025 is packed with product tastings, cooking shows and product workshops that will present the excellence of food and beverages from the EU.
Permanent tasting sessions will be offered at the pavilion each day, with EU products available for sampling, including:
- Dairy products
- Cereals, pasta and confectionery
- Olive oil and olives
- Meat and meat products
- Fruit, vegetables and preparations
- Wines, beers and spirits.
Over 220 products will be showcased, with a special emphasis on those protected under the EU’s Geographical Indications (GIs) system - a quality certification designed to safeguard products that are unique to specific regions and traditional production methods. These products will be featured in a series of dedicated sessions and live cooking demonstrations, where chefs Gustavo Rodrigues and Stefan Weitbrecht will be preparing innovative recipes and revealing creative culinary techniques. Attendees are invited to join in, participate and have the opportunity to taste these exceptional dishes!

Ms Adalgisa Pires
Adalgisa Pires is a trilingual communication expert with over 25 years of experience, fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. She is the official voice of Discovery Home & Health Brazil and has hosted radio programs on renowned stations like Eldorado and Antena.
As the MC for major international events like the ANUGA Open Ceremony, she showcases her exceptional ability to engage audiences. With a background in Journalism and Performing Arts, she is pursuing postgraduate studies in Behavioral Neuroscience and Neurocommunication.

Chefs

Mr Gustavo Rodrigues
Gustavo Rodrigues is a Brazilian chef dedicated to preserving and innovating Brazilian cuisine. Born in rural São Paulo, he holds a postgraduate degree in the history of Brazilian cuisine.
Gustavo has honed his skills at prestigious restaurants like Remanso do Bosque and D'Olivino Restaurante.
He co-founded Lobozó Restaurante and owns Sororoca Bar and Puba Bar in Belém, further cementing his influence in the Brazilian culinary scene. As a professor at Senac São Paulo, Gustavo shares his culinary expertise with aspiring chefs, passing on his knowledge to the next generation.
Gustavo has also appeared on culinary programs like "The Taste Brasil," where he showcased his deep understanding of Brazilian flavors and culinary traditions.

Mr Stefan Weitbrecht
Stefan Weitbrecht is a Brazilian-born chef with Finnish heritage, renowned for his fusion of Nordic and Brazilian flavors. With over 15 years of experience, he specializes in Nordic European cuisine, focusing on minimalism, high-quality ingredients, and traditional preservation techniques.
Stefan is the owner of Cozinha 212 and Mato 212, where he skillfully combines Nordic cooking methods with Brazilian ingredients. In 2024, he was invited by acclaimed chef Alex Atala to participate in a special dinner at Dalva e Dito, further solidifying his place in the culinary scene.
In addition to his restaurant ventures, Stefan shares his knowledge through culinary classes and masterclasses at Hub Rio Gastronomia. Fluent in English and Portuguese, Stefan is recognized as one of São Paulo’s most promising chefs.

Mr André Lucas
André Lucas is a celebrated Brazilian cheese specialist and negotiant, known for his dedication to high-quality cheeses and Brazilian products. As the owner of Armazen 81, he combines his passion with expertise to offer artisanal cheeses.
With years of experience in studying and teaching about milk styles, cow breeds, and production processes, André ensures a full food chain from field to table. In addition to his work with cheeses, he produces cachaça, liquors, sausages, and charcuterie, enriching his range of premium offerings.

Ms Bianca Petrillo
Bianca Petrillo Born in Italy, Bianca Petrillo has over 18 years of expertise in mixology, starting her career as a bartender in Australia. Her journey spans corporate events, lectures, and hands-on bartending, showcasing her deep industry knowledge.
In Brazil, she spent three years as a William Grants & Sons Portfolio Specialist, promoting premium spirits. She also created the renowned “Major” cocktail featuring Glenfiddich, a testament to her creativity and skill.
As a consultant in both on-trade and off-trade sectors, Bianca specializes in beverage logistics and business optimization. Fluent in four languages, she continues to shape the global mixology scene.

Mr Junior Medeiros
Junior Medeiros is a passionate professional sommelier and certified advanced wine taster with extensive expertise in wine, coffee, and gastronomy.
He has worked as a wine and coffee educator, consultant, and curator, sharing his deep knowledge in multiple languages.
Junior has served as a wine-service consultant for the Brazilian Air Force crew and is a food & wine pairing expert, with experience at prestigious restaurants like Copacabana Palace. He has led wine tourism experiences in over 15 countries and is also an amateur chef specializing in food & wine pairing.
Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, with intermediate knowledge of Italian and French, Junior brings a global perspective to his work, enhancing the dining experience with his expertise

Mr Ricardo Castanho
Ricardo Castanho is a highly experienced gastronomy expert with a degree from the University of São Paulo. With 14 years as a journalist for 4 Rodas Magazine, he evaluated over 3,200 restaurants, and as chef-editor for Veja magazine, he showcased his deep culinary knowledge.
A certified Professional Olive Oil Sommelier by AICOO and IRVEA, Ricardo shares his expertise through teaching at the Brazilian Sommelier Association, specializing in olive oil.

Ms Renata Arassiro
Renata Arassiro, a renowned chocolatier in Brazil, has over 20 years of experience and has won prestigious awards, including Best Chocolate in São Paulo since 2008, the Comer & Beber award from Veja Magazine (2012/2013), and the Best Gourmet Chocolate award from Época Magazine (2011).
Her expertise has been recognized by Folha de São Paulo and Estado de São Paulo, which awarded her Best Easter Egg in 2014 and 2018. She has also gained international recognition, placing 14th in the Worldwide Best Chocolatier competition in Lyon (2013) and competing in the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie (2011).
As a Master Chocolatier professor in São Paulo, she shares her knowledge with the next generation while promoting Brazilian chocolate on the global stage.
