EUROPEAN TOMATO, A RED PASSION

The EUROPEAN TOMATO - A RED PASSION (ETOMATO) is a proposal addressed to the markets of Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. This Project is designed to enhance and boost the competitiveness of the EU products of preserved tomatoes whole or in pieces (NC code 200210 - EC Regulation 1308/ 2013), highlighting quality, safety, traceability, nutritional values and healthy properties, versatility, ease of use in the kitchen and characteristics comparable to those of fresh tomatoes.
To do this, the proposing entity, the OI POMODORO BACINO CENTRO SUD ITALIA, intends to implement a structured program of actions aimed at different types of targets, combining online and offline actions. The actions are directly addressed to: opinion leaders, importers, professionals in the distribution and Ho.Re.Ca channel, restaurateurs, cooks, consumers, and stakeholders in the food system (farmers, governments and the private sector). Meanwhile the "Enjoy - it's from Europe" campaign will be supported. The activities have been planned according to the objectives of the work program for the promotion of agricultural products (AGRIP) 2024.
