A Taste of Europe: Easter-Themed Networking Event Highlights EU Chocolates in Mumbai

In celebration of the richness, quality, and craftsmanship of European chocolates, the More Than Food campaign hosted a festive Hop into Easter with the EU event  at the elegant Soho House in Mumbai. The event brought together 34 guests from the food and beverage industry — including importers, retailers, media professionals, and top-tier influencers — for an immersive, chocolate-themed experience led by campaign ambassador Chef Guntas Sethi.

The evening highlighted the exceptional quality of EU chocolates and European artisanal traditions. Chef Sethi opened the event with a lively presentation on the European Union’s food and beverage standards, the significance of Geographical Indications (GI), and the importance of the EU’s quality schemes.

Guests indulged in signature creations such as Chocolate Profiteroles and Crack Open Easter Eggs, made using premium ingredients sourced from across the EU — including dark chocolate from Ireland and France, crispy Paillete Feuilletine from Belgium, and milk chocolate from Poland.

Guests teamed up to design and enjoy their own chocolate eggs using fondant and chocolate-based decorations at the hands-on Easter Egg Decorating Activity. A grazing table featuring EU cheeses, meats, fruits, and chocolates from different Member States encouraged guests to explore unique sweet and savoury pairings throughout the night.

Notable attendees included Aarti Kapoor of Chenab Impex, Mayank Gupta of Foodsquare, Enrico Signorelli of Mami Bombay, and celebrity chef Rakhee Vaswani. Influencers such as Aishwarya Sane, Nikita Gogri, and Ishna Batra also joined the celebration.

The evening concluded on a sweet note with personalised gift hampers filled with European chocolates and confectionery, giving guests a lasting taste of Europe’s culinary excellence.
