An introduction to the excellence of EU food and drink
The agenda for the four days of the EU Pavilion at Vietnam Foodexpo includes product tasting sessions, cooking shows and workshops that will present a range of excellent food and beverages from the EU. Permanent tasting sessions will be offered at the pavilion each day, with EU products available for your sampling pleasure, including:
- Dairy products, including cheese
- Fresh meat and meat products
- Fruit and vegetables, olive oil and table olives
- Cereals, baked goods and confectionery
- Wines, beers and spirits
Over 200 products will be exhibited, with a special focus on sustainable and organic products and products protected as geographical indications (GIs), which have a specific link to the place where they are made. The EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, which entered into force on 1 August 2020, makes it easier to trade in food products while protecting intellectual property rights, including geographical indications awarded to special regional food and drink products. A series of product-oriented sessions and live cooking shows featuring our Star Chefs Nguyen Manh Hung - Hungazit and Hoang Van Duong will highlight these EU GIs.
We will update this section soon with more information on the topics of the product-oriented sessions, so make sure to check in regularly.
