ANIA (Association Nationale des Industries Alimentaires) represents the French food processing sector, which counts more than 16,430 companies, 98% of which are Small and Medium Enterprises (SME). The French food processing sector covers the entire French territory, including outermost insular regions such as Corsica, Caribbean Islands (e.g. Guadeloupe, Martinique, and New Caledonia). ANIA counts among its members 32 trade associations and 17 regional associations.
ANIA’s main missions are to:
- defend the competitiveness stakes of companies and to promote a strategic sector, France’s leading industrial employer
- support food companies in their efforts to make progress facing major societal change
- promote food companies and their employees who are committed to offer healthier, safer, more sustainable, and accessible food

Since 2017, Commercial Relations and Exports are identified by ANIA’s Board of Administrators as a main area of focus.
If ANIA covers most products issued from the agrifood industry, in order to maximise the chances of success of the agri-food companies on the South Korean market the programme will focus on a selection of 14 products compiled in 5 categories which represent 50% of French exports to South Korea:
- dairy products: butter, cheeses, milk & milk crema (SH codes: 040510, 0406, 0401)
- bakery and pastry products, biscuits (SH code: 1905)
- ice creams, chocolate products, jams, jellies and marmalades, sweet products (SH codes: 2105, 1806, 2007, 1704)
- waters and fruit juices (SH codes: 2201, 2202, 2009)
- preparations therefor, mixed condiments and seasonings, prepared and canned fish, pastas (SH codes: 1604, 1902)
