The 3-year programme, 4EU - Extraordinary Excellence – European Experience, is presented by the following Consortia from South Tyrol/Italy: South Tyrolean Apple Consortium (Coordinating Entity), Consortium Stelvio Cheese, Consorzio Alto Adige Wines and Consortium Speck Alto Adige (Participating Entities). The testimonial products of 4EU are part of the fruit products (Mela Alto Adige PGI), of dairy products (Stelvio Cheese PDO), of the sector of pork-based meat (Speck Alto Adige PGI) and of the wine sector (Alto Adige DOC – Alto Adige Wines PDO) (variety of EU quality basket). 4EU is presented in compliance with the EU Reg. N. 1144/2014, Actions under thematic Priority 1 - simple programmes in the internal market, topic 1. The information provisions and promotional measures required in this framework are destined to the consumers, journalists, operators, public institutions representatives and opinion makers of: IT, DE, SE, NL and are related to PR, electronic channels, info-material and advertisements, information and promotion events, activities at the POS, training for the sector operators.
The activities will be tailored according to the characteristics of the target groups.
Total budget: 3.500.000,00 €.
The objectives of 4EU:
General objective: strengthen the competitiveness of the agricultural sector of the EU.
Specific objectives: increase awareness of the merits of the agricultural products of EU and of the high standards applicable to the production methods; increase the competitiveness and consumption of EU agri-products and certain food products and to raise their profile inside the EU (in the target markets); increase the awareness and recognition of the EU quality schemes; increasing the market share of agricultural products and certain food products from the EU; contributing to countering more and more widespread phenomena of agricultural-food product pirating relating to EU agri-products, allowing consumers to make more informed purchase choices.
