Ten agricultural sectors in the south of France wish to join forces to bring at a national level the voice of two European quality schemes: the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) and Protected Geographical Indication (PGI). This campaign will secondarily be an opportunity to communicate about the Label Rouge (LR) French national quality scheme.

These sectors are of diverse ranges: between plains and mountains, animal and vegetal species, either short-circuit marketed or exported… Despite their diversity, they have a lot in common. They are all run by men and women committed to the protection of their land and to the development of know-how that allows them to produce high-quality produces.

They face the same challenge: be united to promote the PDO, PGI and National LR systems through the quality produces of their region, which we shall call "Grande Provence"; and to make as many consumers as possible understand the commitments that these sectors proudly carry.

This is why they have come together around this common project: a three-year communication campaign, the objectives of which are to increase the knowledge and recognition of PDO, PGI and LR ; by raising awareness of the merits of EU agricultural produces and production methods.

The diversity of these sectors is a perfect case to illustrate the importance of Europe's agricultural heritage; while at the same time being educational about the official guarantees provided by these quality schemes.
