The promotion campaign seeks to increase the number of people who recognize the EU organic certification logo by 5%. According to the 2020 Eurobarometer, recognition of the European organic farming logo is 45% in Spain, and 40% in Portugal, well below the EU average (56%).
The main message is ‘The future is on your table with the green leaf because not all foods are the same, so ensure today 100% organic and European products for your loved ones’.
Project actions aim to inform future consumers and professionals in the distribution chain and Horeca.
ECOVALIA and AGROBIO have been promoting the development of the organic sector in Spain and Portugal towards more sustainable and healthy food models for more than 30 years.
With this project, the organic sector of Spain and Portugal come together for the first time to increase awareness and recognition of the European organic certification logo, and the quality regime that it represents.
One of the main challenges facing the organic production sector is to achieve a significant and effective differentiation with respect to the conventional sector.
