1–14 October: EU Food Festival at Umeda Tsutaya, Osaka

The European Union is bringing the flavours of Europe to Osaka this autumn with the EU Food Festival at Umeda Tsutaya, part of its participation in EXPO 2025 Osaka-Kansai. From 1-14 October 2025, visitors can explore the rich culinary heritage of the EU’s 27 Member States through free tastings, expert-led seminars, and a limited-time café collaboration.

Event highlights include:

  • Free tastings of ingredients and products from across Europe, offered daily.
  • Exhibition and interactive quizzes introducing the diversity, quality, safety, authenticity, and sustainability of EU food and drink.
  • A special café collaboration at Tsutaya Book’s café Le Garage, where guests can enjoy exclusive salads, desserts, smoothies, and sandwiches featuring EU ingredients.
  • Weekend mini seminars (4–5 and 11–12 October) led by experts on wine, olive oil, sweets, and other European specialities, including complimentary tastings.

The EU Food Festival is free to attend and requires no general registration. For the weekend seminars, places are limited to eight per session and can be reserved in advance via Peatix or on the day at the venue on a first-come, first-served basis.

Whether you’re a food enthusiast, a family, or simply curious, the EU Food Festival offers a chance to discover Europe’s culinary excellence in a fun and interactive way.
