The purpose of the proposed programme is twofold. Firstly, it aims to restore normal market conditions following the impact of Covid-19 to the olive oil market and increase the competitiveness of European products. Specifically, the second objective of the proposed Action is to enhance the competitiveness of the Union agricultural sector, as well as to promote the European olive oil, which has unique features in terms of quality and taste that are produced under the strict European standards with specific activities in the target countries, like technological means, printed materials, participation in trade fairs press events, etc.over a period of three years (March 2023 – February 2026). In particular, this program is committed to stabilising and increasing the consumption of extra virgin olive oil among consumers, opinion leaders and professionals, aiming to shift their mentality and to disseminate a European nutritional message.
