The Consorzio di Tutela Speck Alto Adige and the Consorzio Formaggio Stelvio are presenting a three-year project to be carried out in Italy, Germany and France. Through Public Relations initiatives, cooperation with influencers, journalists and opinion leaders, distribution of informative materials, creation of a Website and posts on the Social Media, organisation of events, incoming study trips to the production territories, and activities at the points of sale and at restaurants, the Proposing Organisations shall contribute to the common objective of the entire EU agricultural sector of highlighting the merits of EU agricultural production. The products Speck Alto Adige and Cheese Stelvio, which have respectively the PGI and the PDO certification, have the function of concretely illustrating the meaning and the functioning of the EU quality schemes, which include the EU agricultural production of excellence. The Programme contributes to the implementation of the priorities of the European Commission for the implementation of the Green Deal and of the Farm to Fork Strategy, because it aims at spreading contents on the importance of environmental sustainability in productive processes and in consumption, in response to the increasingly more emerging needs of consumers in relation to the improvement of the quality of life, environmental protection and animal wellbeing. Expected results from the project, in relation to the increase of knowledge about quality, food safety, traceability, labelling, originality, traditionality of products and production systems, and intrinsic characteristics of the products with EU quality certification, contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the Common Agricultural Policy and are not limited only to the Proposing Organisations, since the Programme synergistically participates to the activities of operators and producers, of the Member States and of the EU Commission in the framework of the promotion of EU agriculture.
