The Agricultural Business Partnership of Thessaloniki submits the proposal for the Action, Information provision and promotion measure on rice in Jordan, United Kingdom, Israel and UAE. The proposed Action aims to enhance the competitiveness and consumption of European rice in the target markets of Jordan, United Kingdom, Israel and United Arab Emirates, raise its profile and increase its market share in these countries.
The proposed Action aims both at an economic return and at an informative return. More specifically, the Objective of the Action is the two main Action objectives are the following:
1) Increase exports of rice to 1.500.000 ⬠in the market of Jordan, 1.000.000 ⬠in the market of the United Kingdom, 1.000.000 ⬠in the market of Israel and 1.500.000 ⬠in the market of U.A.E. by end of the project.
2) Provide new knowledge on the merits of Union agricultural products to 300.000 people in Jordan, to 600.000 people in the United Kingdom, 300.000 people in Israel and to 300.000 people in U.A.E. by end of the project.
The activities of the Action were selected to inform the target groups about the merits of Union agricultural products which will in return boost the consumption of European rice by displacing similar products from third countries. The proposed mix of the activities will assure the education, the change of the mindset and consumer behaviour in order to achieve the objectives of the Action. The activities include a PR office in each target country, press event, brochures, website and social media accounts, videos, invitations of buyers to Greece, Tasting days, participation in Trade Fairs, B2B meetings etc.
ABPT will subcontract the sum of the activities to an Implementing Body that will be selected through an open competitive procedure. Similarly, the monitoring of the activities, the measuring of the impact and the qualitative assessment will be conducted by an external Evaluation body. The total budget is 3.528.000 €.
