Information provision and promotion measures on EU PDO Petrina Lakonias in USA & Canada

The proposed action is submitted by the Agricultural Cooperative of Petrina, which is a recognized producer union, located in Laconia, entitled information provision and promotion measures on EU PDO Petrina Lakonia extra virgin olive oil in United States and Canada. The Action is set to launch in January 2026 and will run for three years until December of 2028. It seeks to increase knowledge and awareness and to improve the value and the appreciation of PDO EU agricultural products, especially the extra virgin olive oil, among the target groups of distributors/ traders, representatives of retail chains, consumers, opinion leaders, media) in USA and Canada. Achieving this objective will consequently contribute to increase the recognition and the perceived value of EU PDO extra virgin olive oil, in global scale, especially in United States and Canada. The activities include the production of informative printed and electronic material, pr activities and social media, participation in international exhibitions and tasting days.
