The European Union (EU) will be present at "MEAT & CHEERS FUKUOKA," an urban food festival held at Fukuoka Daimyo Garden City Park and will host a dedicated EU food tasting booth for three days only, from Saturday, 19 to Monday, 21 September. At the EU booth, visitors can experience the exceptional quality, authentic value, and rich food culture of Europe while tasting premium EU products such as cheese, olive oil, chocolate and more.
"MEAT & CHEERS FUKUOKA" is an urban food festival where visitors can enjoy Fukuoka's vibrant food culture alongside live music. In a lively event setting, the EU booth will showcase the key appeals of EU food products, such as safety, sustainability, quality, and authenticity through tasting experiences. Visitors will also have the chance to take part in the interactive "Wheel of EU Flavours" and an exciting prize draw, adding an element of discovery and participation to the EU food experience.
Daily tasting highlights
Throughout the three-day event, visitors to EU Booth #8 can enjoy a changing selection of European food specialities. Various tasting sessions will take place throughout the booth’s opening hours, with each session featuring a different combination of products and offering an opportunity to discover the diversity of European flavours and food traditions. Across the three days, visitors can enjoy a selection of European specialities, including fruit gummies (Austria), Gouda Holland PGI (the Netherlands), olives (Greece), Danablu PGI (Denmark), caramel biscuits (Belgium), gherkins (Germany), Parmigiano Reggiano PDO (Italy), rose petal jam (Bulgaria), Irish cheese (Ireland), potato chips (Spain), freeze-dried fruit snacks (Slovakia), dried cranberries (Latvia), Roquefort PDO (France), chocolate (Finland), cereal/granola (France), extra virgin olive oil (Cyprus), honey (Romania), Feta PDO (Greece), canned fish (Portugal), pretzels (Germany), and milk fudge (Poland).
