The programme “From Europe with Love” is jointly proposed by Lithuanian organisation Baltic Gastronomy Leaders and The Bulgarian Winemaking & Export Association. Target market of the programme is USA. Duration of the programme is 36 months.
The programme is part of the common agriculture products export development plan: the consortium already implements promotion programme for East Asia markets, it also intends to promote export in USA, central Asia and Middle East markets.
The main idea of the programme is to strengthen positive emotional ties of USA inhabitants with EU and its food. Since the exporters of proposing countries are quite active in target markets the programme is a balanced set of actions mostly attributed to consumer auditory: on-line advertising, tastings and information displays at POS, promotion out of POS. However, a set of activities with aim to expand distribution network and directed to business auditory (importers, wholesalers and retailers) are also foreseen: participation in target market food fairs, B2B meetings, events for professionals and on-line activities.
The main messages of the programme will be about EU organic scheme, PDO and PGI scheme and generic EU quality and safety mechanisms. It will be illustrated by a basket of products, including wines from Bulgaria and diary, spirits, bakery, fruits and vegetables, grain products and other food from Lithuania.
The main expected impact of the programme is to increase food (the basket foreseen) export from Lithuania and Bulgaria to target market. The overall budget of the programme is 3,950,050 EUR.
