Programme

The visit to Mexico will focus on improving the understanding of Mexico’s import market access conditions and identifying new opportunities for EU products and identifying new opportunities for EU products under the modernised EU-Mexico Free Trade Agreement

The programme of the business delegation will provide the representatives of the European agri-food sector with an excellent platform to explore the Mexican market and establish direct business contacts in Mexico City. It will offer possibilities to promote Europe’s high-quality food standards, geographical indications (GIs) as well as EU organic products.

The mission will feature a market access seminar, B2B meetings, field and retail visits, sector-specific working sessions with the Commissioner, an official networking dinner, and media activities to connect EU producers with Mexican buyers and distribution channels. Through these activities, the programme aims to facilitate long-term market access for EU agri-food products in Mexico.

How to participate

The selection of the business representatives will consider product and geographical balance of the delegation. In this context, the candidates’ representativeness of a given sector, their capacity to conduct international business and accessing untapped markets will also be considered.

Interested applicants are welcome to register. The deadline to apply is 30 June 2026.
