Nice to eat - EU
Objective: reinforcing awareness and recognition of the Union’s quality schemes, by increasing the competitiveness and consumption of protected-brand products within the target countries identified as priorities in the domestic market: Italy, Germany and AustriaThe objectives of this program comply with the general and specific objectives set out in Article 2 and 3 of Regulation (EU) No 1144/2014. The decision to focus the project on the domestic market arises from considering the strategic importance of Europe for the global dairy sector, confirmed as the largest global market with 38.8% of consumption.
Target group: All activities are aimed at reaching the different targets that the Consortium has identified as a priority in the markets: consumers, kids, online and offline media, influencer, food bloggers and Ho.re.ca professionals.
Action strategy: a series of activities such as press office and Public Relation, events, online and offline promotion, activities in schools, Point-of-sale promotions, structured over a three-year period.. It is reported that, with regard to Invitation 2017/C9/06, Piave Consortium had submitted a proposal in the "Simple-01-2017 Topic. Union quality systems", N. Proposal 779621, approved by the EU Commission with an overall assessment of 96/100. The tender procedure for the selection of implementing body was however judged by the Member State not compliant with relevant national and unional legislation, therefore it was not possible to proceed with the signing of the Grant Agreement. The Piave PDO Cheese Protection Consortium has therefore decided, following the suggestions of the Italian Ministry and Chafea, to re-submit the "Nice to eat-EU" project to which the appropriate updates have been made.
Budget: € 1,433,731.00 for 3 years
