The European Union (EU) will be present at World Festa Yokohama 2026, taking place at Yamashita Park on 10 and 11 October 2026, with a dedicated EU food booth offering visitors the opportunity to taste a selection of European specialities and discover the diversity of EU food and beverage products.
Held under the theme “Bloom – Flowers bloom and the world connects”, World Festa Yokohama brings together food, culture, music and people from around the world in a vibrant two-day celebration of international diversity. The EU booth will add a taste of European food culture to this experience, connecting authentic European products with Japanese consumers in a lively and family-friendly setting.
A taste of Europe, from sweet to savoury
Visitors to the EU booth will be able to explore a selection of products from across Europe, showcasing the variety of tastes, traditions and expertise found across EU Member States.
The selection includes caramel biscuits, milk fudge, organic honey, a variety of cheeses, organic mini pretzels and paprika potato chips, as well as some distinctive extra virgin olive oils and PDO wines.
Together, these products offer visitors a chance to discover the quality, authenticity and diversity of European food and beverages, from traditional specialities to organic products and foods carrying European quality labels.
Discover, taste and play
The EU booth will offer more than a tasting experience. Visitors will also be invited to take part in the Wheel of EU Flavours, an interactive activity designed to turn discovering European food into a fun challenge.
Depending on where the wheel lands, participants may be invited to taste and guess a product or its country of origin, answer a question about EU food, create a pairing idea combining a European and Japanese ingredient.
Visitors can also take a photo with Tane-Chan, the campaign mascot, and share their experience on social media.
