The EU Food Festival @ Expo Osaka 2025
The EU Food Festival @ Expo Osaka 2025 is your gateway to the authentic taste of Europe! Parked beside the EU Pavilion, our kitchen car offers daily tastings with premium ingredients from 27 Member States of the EU. Complementing this experience, workshops held in the Pavilion’s seminar room offer a deeper dive into key EU foods – such as cheese, olive oil, and wine – and provide a delicious opportunity to learn, and explore European food culture up close. Led by prominent culinary experts and agri-food professionals, these sessions showcase star products, creative pairings, and insider knowledge straight from Europe’s top producers.
Our activities
As part of the EU Food Festival @ Expo Osaka 2025, visitors can look forward to various exciting activities:
- Food tastings – visit the EU Food Festival on Wheels - our mobile kitchen next to the EU Pavilion and enjoy a variety of delicious tastings throughout the day. It’s a unique chance to sample a wide range of high-quality EU food and drink, including inspired pairings that bring together European products with Japanese ingredients in surprising and delightful ways.
- Thematic sessions: EU food talks – dive deeper into Europe’s culinary culture with 20-minute thematic sessions hosted in the dedicated event room inside the EU Pavilion. Each set of talks explores a specific theme - like cheese, olive oil or wine.
- Meet Tane-Chan – Our friendly mascot Tane-Chan will be on hand to greet guests and host an interactive EU food quiz during the sessions – fun for all ages and a great way to test your agri-food knowledge!
