On October 19, 2022, EU Safety & Sustainability Seminar “How the EU is leading the way in sustainable food, focusing on organic production methods” was held at BELLESALLE YAESU.
We were honoured to invite Ms Isabelle De Stobbeleir, Counsellor of the Trade Section for the Delegation of the European Union to Japan to offer a warm and insightful introduction to our guests in person and online.
We were further privileged to host Ms Megumi Kobayashi, Delegation of the European Union to Japan, who presented expert insight on the EU’s pioneering approach to delivering safe and sustainable food, including related institutions and the specific production methods focused on organic production, as well as case studies. In an effort to mine deeper meaning from current trends and development in organic and sustainable production, a talk session with Mr. Akiteru Imai, Director, General Manager of Supply Chain Division, Director of import, Bio c’ Bon Japon and Mr. Yasuhiro Nakashima, Professor, The University of Tokyo, Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics followed.
The EU would like to extend gratitude to 121 people who attended in person and online from Japan and around the world, for this opportunity to showcase the safety and sustainability of EU food and why EU food is the "Perfect Match!"
