The European Food Fair, held from 3 June to 2 July 2024 on Rakuten Ichiba, was a tremendous success, bringing excellent European food and drinks direct to Japanese homes. Showcasing over 4 000 unique ingredients from across the 27 European Union Member States, the promotion attracted thousands of online shoppers who enjoyed up to 25% off on a wide selection of quality products. From cheeses and chocolates to olive oils and wines, shoppers embraced the opportunity to explore the diverse flavours and excellent quality Europe has to offer.
In addition to the exciting food fair, a recipe competition, which encouraged creative combinations of European and Japanese ingredients, was a huge hit. With close to 500 participants showcasing their confectionery prowess, the competition was a celebration of cultural fusion.
