A Taste of Europe in Osaka: EU Food Festival 2025

From 1 to 14 October 2025, the “Enjoy! It’s from Europe” campaign hosted the EU Food Festival at Tsutaya Books in Osaka, where visitors explored the richness and diversity of European cuisine through an engaging pop-up and café collaboration.

Over the course of two weeks, more than 2,000 guests visited the pop-up, discovering authentic EU food and beverage products celebrated for their quality, tradition, and sustainability. The nearby Le Garage café offered a special menu featuring six original dishes crafted with 28 premium European ingredients, including items carrying Geographical Indication (GI) and organic labels. The collaboration proved so popular that several dishes sold out before the event concluded.

To further immerse visitors in the experience, weekend thematic sessions were held on site, each focusing on a different European food category such as olive oil, sweets, and wine. Led by culinary experts, these sessions invited guests to taste and learn about EU products in an intimate, interactive setting. Many participants stayed after the sessions to continue conversations about European food culture and ingredients.

The event created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, encouraging Kansai consumers to experience European food as part of their everyday lifestyle – not just as luxury imports.

Through a blend of tasting, education, and cultural exchange, the EU Food Festival in Osaka successfully connected local audiences with the authentic flavours and craftsmanship of Europe, celebrating the joy of food that unites cultures across continents.
