The European Union and the Perfect Match campaign were thrilled to participate in Foodex Japan 2024! More than 20 000 visitors got a chance to taste some of the best European food and drinks, along with witnessing fun live-cooking shows where iconic Perfect Match recipes combining EU products with ingredients from Japan were created by Chef Dominique Corby and Chef Masahito Ueki!
Hundreds of visitors also had the opportunity to learn about organic and sustainable products from Europe and gain understanding of the Geographical Indications’ (GI) - the EU’s own quality certification system to protect products unique to specific regions and their traditional production methods. More in depth product-oriented sessions on European cheeses, olive oil and pairing ideas were evenly enjoyed too!
