Oatmeal Okonomiyaki

  • Boiling water: 120 ml
  • Oatmeal (steel-cut oats) from Ireland: 30 g
  • Tofu: 150 g
  • Cabbage, shredded: 100 g
  • Egg: 1
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Salad oil: 2 teaspoons

Sauce

  • Dried bonito flakes
  • Aonori (seaweed): to taste

Step 1

Put boiling water and oatmeal in a large heatproof bowl and microwave at 600W for 6 minutes.​

Step 2

Mix well, then add tofu, egg, salt, and cabbage.​

Step 3

Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat.​

Step 4

When one side is browned, turn the pan over and steam for 3 minutes with the lid closed.

Step 5

Place on a plate and pour okonomiyaki-style sauce or other sauce on top.​
