  • Tomato Paste - Malta: 20 g
  • Somen: 1 bundle
  • 2x concentrated Mentsuyu (soup base for noodles): 200 g
  • Water: 200 g
  • Green onion: As needed
  • Sesame: As needed

Step 1

Combine mentsuyu, water, and tomato paste in a pot and mix well.

Step 2

In a small pot, heat and bring to a boil.

Step 3

Let the sauce cool.

Step 4

Boil the somen noodles according to the package instructions.

Step 5

Once the noodles are cooked, transfer them to ice water to cool. Serve them on a plate once chilled.

Step 6

Add chopped green onion and sesame seeds to the cooled sauce, then serve with the chilled noodles.

Tips

Heat once to bring out the flavor of the tomatoes
