Two color filling (sweet paste) and butter sandwich

This French butter is creamy but light. We have created a butter sandwich with plenty of flavour. If the pumpkin or sweet potatoes have a harder texture depending on the season, you can adjust the consistency of the paste by adding a little boiling water.

Ingredients: 2 servings

  • Round soft French bread  6
  • Butter from France  Isigny Ste Mère  60g

Pumpkin paste

  • Pumpkin 150g
  • Water 1 tbsp.
  • Cane suger 3 tbsp.
  • Cinnamon To taste

Sweet potato paste

  • Sweet potato 150g
  • Cane suger 3 tbsp.
  • Rum 1/2 tsp and to taste for more

Isigny Ste Mere PDO butter is rich in minerals thanks to the high quality feed of the milk-producing cows. The salty and almost crystalline texture is produced through the high volume of minerals that remain in the butter following a careful churning process. Naturall moreish and healthy!

Step 1

Cut into 2 the French bread. Slice the butter into 4 slices.

Step 2

Pumpkin paste: Peel and cut the pumpkin into bite-sized pieces, place in a heatproof bowl, add water, cover with fluffy plastic wrap and cook in a 600W microwave for 5 minutes.

Step 3

When hot, mash in the cracked sugar. Add cinnamon to taste and mix.  

Step 4

Sweet potato paste: Peel the sweet potatoes, cut into bite-sized pieces and soak in water. Drain and place in a heatproof bowl, cover with fluffy plastic wrap and cook in a 600 W microwave for 5 minutes.    

Step 5

When hot, mash in the cane sugar. Add rum to taste and stir.

Step 6

Place the pumpkin sweet bean paste and butter between two of the (1) pieces and the sweet potato sweet bean paste and butter between two of the (2) pieces.
