European Union Restaurants Week: A Taste of Europe in Seoul

European Union Restaurants Week, held from July 11 to 24, 2025, brought the vibrant flavours of Europe to Seoul. Across 18 venues—including fine dining restaurants, bistros, cafés, and bars—diners enjoyed exclusive menus and inventive dishes crafted with high quality European ingredients, all reflecting values of tradition, safety, sustainability, and authenticity. In addition, the action featured premium products carrying EU’s official quality labels –  Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), Protected Geographical Indication (PGI), certifying unique quality and provenance, and the Organic Label, guaranteeing limited environmental impact.

Those seeking an elevated experience indulged in sophisticated tasting menus at fine dining establishments such as Mater, Perigee, Bistrot de Yountville, Original Numbers, Harris, and Vinho, expertly paired with selected European wines.

Guests looking for a more relaxed setting explored Seoul’s trendiest bistros, including Ardor, Borgo Hannam, Cesta, Veggie Weekend, and Mutin, where creative and accessible dishes celebrated the richness of European ingredients.

For those with a sweet tooth or a taste for creative drinks, venues like Sona, Balance Pâtisserie, Adde, Jaein, Bar Jangsaeng, and Soko delighted guests with exquisite desserts as well as surprising cocktails and spirits, all showcasing the excellence of European ingredients.

The festivities didn’t stop at the table. Food enthusiasts also participated in interactive cooking classes, learning how to recreate European dishes at home with authentic products available in South Korea. The event highlighted not only the diversity and quality of European cuisine, but also how easily these ingredients can become part of everyday cooking.
