  • Rose Petal Jam - Bulgaria: 80 g
  • Apple: 1
  • White wine: 150 g
  • Water: 150 g
  • Sugar: 60 g
  • Lemon: 1.2

Step 1

Combine white wine, water, and sugar in a pot and bring to a boil.

Step 2

Peel the apple, cut it into 8 wedges, then halve each wedge.

Step 3

Add the apple pieces to the pot and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes, using parchment paper or a similar lid to cover.

Step 4

Once a skewer easily pierces the apple, transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in rose petal jam.

Step 5

Place the bowl over ice to cool the mixture thoroughly.

Step 6

Serve on a plate with some of the compote juice.

Tips

Adding white wine reduces the sweetness, perfect for people with a savory palate.
