On July 6, 2022, the European Union held "Safety & Sustainability - EU FOOD EXPO", for the food sector and media, at Tokyo Por City Takeshiba. The event, which aimed to introduce Japanese consumers to safe and sustainable food products through organic and GI-certified agricultural products.

Renowned chefs to showcase the Perfect Match! of European and Japanese food with live cooking shows at the EU Pavilion

The 'European and Japanese Food: The Perfect Match!’ campaign makes a return to Japan’s leading food exhibition at Makuhari Messe from 8-11 March 2022.

Held at Tokyo Toranomon Global Square Conference on 22 February, this event for food industry professionals included tastings of selected olive oils from six countries, an open discussion among the trade specialist speakers on the benefits of EU products, and Perfect Match! recipe presentation.

Held on 7 and 8 October, the seminars introduced general EU dairy products, with the first shining a spotlight on European cheeses and the second on butters to give industry representatives a deeper understanding of the safety, quality, authenticity and sustainability of EU dairy products.
